BacAlt BioSciences uses precision fermentation to make next-gen biomaterials, like bacterial nanocellulose and gamma-PGA, that are safe, high-purity and easily biodegradable.
BacAlt came to us with a brilliant bench-to-biomaterials story, but it felt scattered and complex. They had early traction, yet no simple, unified way to show value to partners without drifting into greenwash.
Lab to language
Our job was to make the science legible and the promise tangible. We built a clinical, evidence-first brand that stays lab honest and claim-safe.
Bacterial Alternatives
Our mark is derived from the letters “b” and “a” combined with a simplified molecular lattice, forming an open square with four active nodes. This shape hints at petri-dish corners, linked monomers and a lab window. The final system pairs this four-node mark with a clean wordmark in Carbon Black, using a BacAlt Aqua to Cyprus gradient for the symbol. Rounded corners keep it human, the grid keeps it precise, and the lockup scales cleanly across vials, slides, decks and the web.
Brand & Communication Protocol
One lab-honest system for how BacAlt looks and speaks: four-node mark with wordmark, approved biochromatic palette, clean type and real lab imagery with gradient overlays. Voice is plain English and proof first, with every claim mapped to method, with clear labels. Templates cover decks and web with version control and quarterly reviews to keep everything current.
